Bryan Smith

Bryan Smith has over twenty years of federal law enforcement experience as a Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, having previously worked as a business and systems consultant for Accenture and Deloitte. He served in investigative, managerial, and executive level positions with a focus on cryptocurrency, cyber, financial crime, money laundering, securities fraud, and the crossover between these threats. 

Bryan instituted a number of public private partnership efforts within cyber and financial crime and possesses significant leadership experience ranging from small specifically focused teams to enterprise operations and program ownership. He initiated the FBI’s first virtual currency team and led efforts building knowledge and capabilities at the local and national level. A strong collaborator, Bryan served as the FBI’s Detailee to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) leveraging the skillsets and expertise of both agencies for the better protection of the investing public.
