Kelly Kimberly is a Partner in the Houston office. She advises clients on reputation management, financial communications including M & A, shareholder activism and restructurings. She specializes in crisis and issues management, litigation support and Environmental and Social Governance.
Recent assignments include advising the Rice Team on its successful proxy contest against EQT and today supporting EQT's new leadership team on strategic communications; private equity firm EIG Partners for transaction communications and portfolio company support; Leeward Renewable Energy on its acquisition of the First Solar development portfolio and ongoing communications counsel; and Marathon Petroleum in its response to agitation by Elliott Management.
Kelly has advised clients across multiple industries involved in high profile crisis and litigation matters, including multiple cybersecurity and data privacy issues; supporting legal counsel on issues such as employee misconduct, wrongful termination, business disputes and class action lawsuits; restructurings and bankruptcies; EPA enforcement matters; worker and civilian injuries and fatalities and resulting agency investigations.
Earlier in her career, Kelly was founder and Principal of Kimberly Public Affairs. The agency provided strategic public relations planning, crisis and issues management and ESG consulting. She previously served in several leadership roles at Enron, including Senior Vice President of Public Relations and Marketing Communication for Enron International. She established and served as Senior Vice President of the Company's Corporate Social Responsibility function.
Kelly holds a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Nebraska-Kearney and an M.A. in Communication from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
