Experience

Stephanie has lived and worked in Kuwait, Mexico, and Russia. She is known for her ability to succinctly communicate to boards, management teams, and auditors, and for bringing a sense of calm, order, and speed-to-action in critically important situations, including:

  • Investigations and Compliance. On behalf of audit committees and management, investigating allegations of improper accounting, misleading disclosures, cybersecurity failures, foreign corruption, and other complex financial accounting issues as well as developing and leading remediation initiatives.
  • Accounting Advisory. Advising Audit Committee Chairs and CFOs on resolving complex GAAP and internal control issues with auditors either by leading communications or coaching the CFO behind-the-scenes. Stephanie also served in an interim CFO role for a publicly traded company while directing a restatement, finalizing the annual audit and Form 10-K filing, and resolving an SEC inquiry into the company’s accounting practices.
  • M&A. Financial due diligence; post-acquisition integration of accounting operations; carveout planning and management; and public company readiness initiatives.
  • EBITDA Improvement. Supporting CFOs and private equity boards in developing, implementing, and monitoring EBITDA improvement initiatives, including post-acquisition synergy capture and cost-reduction strategies.
  • Financial Operations Transformation. Supporting CFOs in improving efficiency and reducing costs of accounting operations and improving the caliber of management and board reporting.
