Trent Duffy is a Partner of the Public Affairs practice in the Washington, D.C. office.

He has a strong public policy and communications background across all sectors but has specialized in economic policy throughout his career, having worked in top positions in the White House, Congress and in the private sector. As chief Deputy Press Secretary for President George W. Bush, Trent interacted with the national media daily and regularly conducted the Official White House Briefing.

Before the West Wing, Trent led communications for the Office of Management and Budget, the House Ways and Means Committee, Members of Congress and the Republican National Committee.
He co-founded a successful public relations firm focusing on issue advocacy, coalition management, crisis management, executive media preparation, branding, speechwriting, and other communications consulting services.

Recent assignments include helping corporations manage government investigations and hearings; cybersecurity breach response and preparedness; litigation support at the International Trade Commission; a statewide campaign to streamline natural gas production; corporation positioning and public policy support in the semiconductor industry; support for a global corporation on tariff issues; oversight at the Food and Drug Administration; and other regulatory inquiries from various agencies.

He has appeared frequently on major news outlets to comment on breaking news issues, political developments and other complex communications challenges.
