Chad Pinson brings 22+ years of professional-service experience to serve clients as a trusted advisor on difficult technical and traditional investigations, cyber security, and risk issues. He also serves on Aon Cyber Solutions’ executive leadership team, its operating and revenue committees, and acts as chairman of the client management committee. He is responsible for company P&L, leadership, strategy, operations, business development, talent acquisition and retention, process and procedure, organizational risk, and service delivery. Chad leads a 90+-person nationwide service-delivery and engagement management team, including the industry-leading Stroz Friedberg Digital Forensics and Incident Response group.

Chad serves clients, researches, writes, and is a sought-after speaker on board advisory matters and corporate governance, technical and internal investigations, cyber security, incident response and data breach, cybercrime, emerging technologies, SCADA/ICS, PCI, big data problems and data analytics, trade-secret theft, identity theft, privacy, fraudulent financial transactions, transactional due diligence, digital and mobile forensics, cryptocurrency, blockchain, virtual currencies, encryption, e-commerce, alternative payment options, risk management, infringement, insider threats, data retrieval, ransomware, cyber-fraud and extortion, wire fraud, spyware, regulatory regimes that involve data and security, and e-discovery.

Prior to joining Stroz Friedberg, Chad was a partner at Baker Botts LLP with a national litigation practice and appearances in federal or state courts in 25 different states and multiple arbitration forums. His law practice focused on data security, privacy, data access, data theft, and class action matters.

In his last year practicing law, he received special acknowledgement, appearing in 2012’s Best Lawyers in America list. From 2004-2011, he was continuously recognized by Law & Politics as a “Texas Rising Star.” He is the Former Chairman of the State Bar of Texas Privacy, Data Security, and eCommerce Committee.

Chad received his B.B.A. in Finance with honors from the University of Texas and his J.D. with honors from Duke Law School.
