Scott assists clients across a broad range of media, crisis, and investor relations issues with representations that include companies engaged in intellectual property and commercial litigation; responding to or preparing for data breaches; involved in M&A transactions; and undergoing executive changes.

Fitbit on its acquisition by Google
Capital One on its data breach
PG&E’s Board of Directors on Chapter 11 filing, executive changes and litigation stemming from California wildfires
Before joining SVC, Scott practiced intellectual property and cybersecurity law at the law firm Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP. Prior to his legal career, Scott was a reporter for The Associated Press, including four years as an AP White House correspondent covering President George W. Bush.

Scott earned his J.D. and his master’s degree in journalism at the University of California, Berkeley and received a B.A. in English with a minor in public policy from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
